It depends on the length of her hair. No ones hair grows as fast or the same as every one else's. My daughter had hardly any hair when she was born, I had to tape bows in for pictures. It didn't grow much till she was almost 2. Then it grew as beautiful as a models hair. She is a senior in college now and has the most gorgeous long dark brown hair! When my son was born he had black hair from is head to his toes (not like that hairy guy on TV!). He is 17 now and still has that peach fuzz of his back, arms, neck %26amp; legs. What I mean is when it starts to get long enough where you could maybe straighten it up or even it out. If it is all sorts of lengths and shabby looking, I would say it's a good time to trim it up...

Well I think at around 2 years old is good. Also if you want your daughter to have thick hair you should get a bowl hair cut for her. I know it may look and sound silly, but if you get it cut like that and trim it like every 4 weeks it will get thicker and then gradually grow it longer. Thats what my parents did to me and my hair is thick, and people always comment on it how beautiful and thick it is, I also recommended this to my freind to do it to her daughter and it's looking so good right now she's almost 6 and it's so pretty and thick. I really recommend that and ya, I think 18 months is a good age to get her hair cut. I hope this helps.

it is a known fact that if you cut your hair it will look better feel better, be easier to manage, and overall be more healthy if you kid looks like a rag doll or has unmanageable hair i would cut it, if you think she looks fine then leave it also you may want to take into consideration weather or not she will stay still for a hair cut most places wont cut hair if the kid cant stay still my daughter was so scared of the lady that cut her hair she was as still as a rock i cut my daughters hair the first time i just pulled it all to her back and cut it in kinda a smile shape then parted her hair and made each side even this may not be easy to do tho unless her hair is long my daughters hair was down to her butt when i finally cut it
