Well I think at around 2 years old is good. Also if you want your daughter to have thick hair you should get a bowl hair cut for her. I know it may look and sound silly, but if you get it cut like that and trim it like every 4 weeks it will get thicker and then gradually grow it longer. I wait about six months before trimming my hair, and even if you have no split ends it helps prevent split ends and dryness.

Ask to get your hair 'dusted' and they'll take off barely anything.

But you should be fine if you don't cut it at all. though it may mean you have to cut more later.

I would suggest what they call a 'stacked bob,' it's when hair is a little shorter in back and angles towards your chin, getting longer in the front. bangs also look great with this. If you get a few layers it would thicken up your hair and you could wash-and-wear. I think this would also look amazing once you dye it. The website below shows some examples although they are quite trendy and your hairstylist would probably tone them down a touch.

I think it's kinda necessary to have nails at a sensible length. It would get very hard to drive, type, write or do most things if we never cut them. Hair can be as long as a person wants without it getting in the way too much but some people look dreadful with hair down to their knees or so... I wonder how they look after all that hair.

I'd cut them both to any length I wanted really. I have a high pain tolerance anyway. Some things are worth pain and some things are painful but we still have to do them.

Brown people say my skin looks better and it bring out my eyes. My only problem is it fades too quickly and especially when I'm goign to start tanning I'd have to keep up with it. i would go with a layered look especially around your face. that would frame your cute cheeks. then please go with the brown, it looks soooo much better. i do not like the blonde on you. so my suggestion is a layered brown, with small blonde highlights. if you get someone who knows what they are doing the can cut the layers so that they naturally curl under somewhat therefore that cuts out on alot of styling issues. good luck and have fun with your hair.

It is you get your hair cut, not hairs cut! Would you say to someone that they had a beautiful head of hairs? Hair is the singular (as in there is a hair in my soup) and hair is the plural (as in I am certainly getting alot of gray hair these days), actually....hold on... I stand corrected....if you want to be perfectly correct...hair is also the set of hairs on a humans head so hairs can be plural. But not usually used that way. If you are looking for what you should use going forward, I would say hair cut....I wouldn't criticize or comment on the other person's usage of hairs cut.

However, be prepared, there is a huge group of people, who like to respond to "oh you got your hair cut" with no, I got all of them cut! Perhaps it was amusing the first time someone in the entire world came up with it, but I have heard it too many times.

I would advise to change your haircut to a better looking. then you won't suffer that much. or color your hair in a bright color to make it look cool and stylish. there are special shampoos and conditioners for making your hair grow faster, like bonacure(shwarzcopf) but they won't make your hair really long faster then in 5-6 months.... I think you need to grow them but to learn to live with it as well. try different hairstyles. I cut my hair too and was upset at first but now I like it more. much more comfortable and they are more healthy and stylish now. I made a special haircut, not just shorter and it's cool now. may be if you make some changes you'll love it too. Goodluck anyway. you can also try hair extensions or braids (adding some artificial hair to make them long immediately till they grow back)

Youre right about growing it, because it weighs the hair down and doesnt make it look so thick (yet still good). Short bobs are a no no, so maybe you could get subtle layers and a small side fringe (with it being thinned out too). When you grow it longer, continue getting the subtle layers and thinned out more towards the bottom.

I'm not sure I completely understand your question but if you are asking why your hair doesn't grow longer without cutting it the answer could be because your hair, especially the ends becomes damaged and unhealthy due to hair dryers, curling irons, the sun, etc.

The ends become split (split ends) and your hair doesn't seem to get longer because it has split off and breaks easily from being damaged.

When you get a hair cut, they cut off the dead/damaged ends and your hair is healthier and grows.

You need to take care of your hair and treat it gently in order for it to grow. Don't put it in ponytails, use curling irons, flat irons, hot hair dryers, use gentle shampoo and use conditioner. Brushing your hair is good for growth because it massages your scalp which encourages growth.

Get long layers, angled around the front maybe with a longer soft fringe to offset the oblong head. Also when you go, ask the stylist if they can chunk it rather than thin it (using 7 or 11 tooth chunking shears as opposed to the 35 or 40 tooth thinners ) chunking removes bulk without adding volume, if it's already wavy I'm guessing your don't want it to get any bigger. And be sure to ask for below shoulder length, wavy and curly hair shrinks up, the layers are going to take some weight off so it thinning it out, with either chunkers or thinners.

Not an expert... but if you have very thick hair, a straight cut can make your hair look boxy and "poofy" - in a bad way. I would suggest maybe choppy layers - just definitely not all the same length. Make sure you let your stylist know that you want your haircut to be low-maintainance, and he or she can probably work with you to find something you like that will work well with your hair and face.

I have fairly thick hair (rather straight, though) and had it long for quite some time. A couple of years back I had it cut pretty short - *almost* boy short - shaped close to my head in the back, and easing down to chin-length in the front, with razored choppy layers all over. It looked pretty good and was SOOO easy to take care of. As it grew out again, though, it was kinda hard to keep it from looking like...well, like I needed a haircut :P So keep that in mind if this is going to be a temporary thing. Layers can look pretty yuck while you're trying to grow them out again.

It's amazing how many styles you can do with short hair to make it look longer. If you haven't had your hair cut in over a year then I'm assuming you'll need quite a bit cut off!

Keep in mind if you get a lot of short layers cut into it you won't be able to pin some parts up for your prom. So longer bobs like Nicole Ritchie's are great!

Go to another stylist and have her trim them to the length you prefer- if you do it yourself they'll probably come out uneven. At least you're lucky enough that they're too long rather than too short. I guess that's the bright side of a bad haircut.

i recommend tea tree shampoo from paul mitchell.. its great for dry itchy scalps when using it it tingles your scalp. its invigorating!! a lot of my clients use this shampoo the feed back that i get from them is that it helps with the dryness of their scalps..the itching is usually caused from the dry scalp..just like dry skin!dry skin is itchy right? if its that severe it could be psoriasis..(it is common) there are also different shampoos at the salon that you can try for your problem...good luck!

Use shampoo with pine tar once in awhile. It smells horrible, just to warn you, but it helps with the itching. This might sound weird, but my dog was always really itchy and the vet recommended that I buy the shampoo with pine tar for him. She said it works as well for dogs as it does humans, and it helped him!

I have a homemade remedy for your itchy scalp. You can mix white vinegar with some water and pour in onto your hair and massage it through. If it burns which it will than you don't have lice. My daughter has thick, wavy hair. She had it layered and now she says it is poofy and uncontrollable and even her Chi straightener isn't making it the way she likes it. I work in a nursing home and some of the male residents are unable to get out of bed to go to the in house barber shop that does have a licensed barber. He is unable to go room to room b/c he is only there 2 hours once a week. Someone thinks that the nurses can be cutting the men's hair (there would be no charge) but I am under the impression that this is not legal.

I don't see why one of the nurses couldn't cut the hair. Especially if she is not charging. My roommate in college used to cut people's hair in our dorm, and she was definitely not licensed. My mom works in a nursing home and I am pretty sure that one of the nurse's aides cuts people's hair if they can't get to the beautician/barber. The residents shouldn't have to go without haircuts just because they are not able to get out of bed.

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

Without seeing your hair or knowing your ethnicity (for product suggestion) it sounds like you need to shampoo it again and put a smoothing serum on it. Blow dry it with a round brush this smooths out the wave or curl in your hair. DO NOT glob on a lot of oil that will burn quickly when you flat iron it and make it revert. Get someone else to blow dry it for you if you don't want to go back to the salon because you need a little elbow grease to get it straight.

Give it a good reconstructing treatment. Go to Sallys, they have a good generic reconstructor (it's like Joico's K-Pak). Put it on focusing on the ends, comb it through, cover it with a shower cap, and leave it for as long as you have time for, preferably 30 minutes-1 hour. Then rinse it out. If that soesn't help, get your money back!

go and buy ProFectiv split ends repair creme. You apply it to the end of your hair and then wrap your hair, to let the product saturate and do its job.. It is a very good creme that I now live by, and all of my split end problems are gone. It will definately help

As far a tip, I would tip according to the service you get. If you get good service, I think $10-15 is a good tip. The price of your service varies with where you live and what salon you're having your hair done. If they do a good job, then $106 is worth it. The old saying, you get what you pay for, is a good thing to live by especially when it comes to your hair.

Layers framing your chin is a good way to keep length but won't make your face look so long.
