I went to beauty school in 1999 but got pregnant and took a leave of absense. Im a good stylist,.its just cutting hair has always been what i've avoided. She wants a layered cut but I forgot how to do it. Does anyone know how to do a layered cut? Any proffesinals here who can give me the step by step?

Take one part life it up while combing and cut straight. Now same partition lift more up and cut so it l gives steps. repeat the same

If it has been that long and you have forgotten how to do I don't think asking someone over the internet step by step will help you. Do like the 1st person said be honest with your friend tell her it had been too long since you were in Beauty School and you have forgotten how to do it and you would rather her get her hair done right that take a chance that you would mess it up and get her upset. If she is your friend she will understand.
