Can u share some bad hair cut experiences? I've got naturally curly hair, and i just got it cut, and it used to be super long, and now it is just above my shoulders, which is not the 1 or 2 inches off that i wanted. There is one length of hair around my whole head by my ears, and the next layer is like by my shoulders. I told the lady i didnt want it as short as she was cutting it, and she told me " oh well i have curly hair too, and i love my short layers." I am now pretty much sick to my stomach, becuase i liked the length i had before, it just needed a 1-2 inch trimming, and now, it looks like i just pulled up strands and starting snipping with scissors.

I was too busy to see my regular barber so I went to one of those "Supercuts" type places. I always get a flat-top hair cut. When they finished, it looked good. But by the time I got home, my hair had "settled" and I saw how lopsided it was. It was on an extreme slant. O.K. for 1985, but this was 1995. I immediately put a hat on and returned to that place and demanded they fix it or shave it all off. They managed to fix it.

Well, hopefully you did not pay for it. If so, just an fyi, if you get a hair cut you dislike, especially if they did not follow your instructions, you are not obligated to pay. Also, most reputable places will help make it right. If you contact the manager/owner of the salon and tell them what happened, they will try to make it right by either giving you a better haircut, or some other remedy. Obviously, that does not help you right now. I do understand- I made the huge mistake of going to the hair cut place inside of Wal-Mart's, they messed my hair AND my daughter's hair! I went home and was able to fix my daughter's hair for the most part, but I was stuck with mine for a while. Finally, when it grew out enough,I bought a razoring tool, and razored the ends so the layers blended together more. I did a better job than the hairstylist did, and I don't even have a license! Maybe what you could do is ask people whose hair that you like where they go, and go there from now on. Good luck- at least it will grow out eventually--just know there are others out there who can commiserate with you. Happy growing.

I went to a mall hair cut place ( Hell on earth) and sat down I had a emo looking doo at the time and wanted to trim the ends and she ended up f**king up my skull but I told her to stop before it was to late and she said no and I cant believe to this day that I paid that B**ch ten dollars to do that If I saw her now I wouldn't hesitate to beat her *** up and I don't hit women but she needs to learn to respect customers anyway that my horror story that's why I fear barber shops and I'm not kidding but I know what your saying as far as length they never do what you ask so next time get a friend to help you there more trusting.

I've had a couple of really bad hair experiences too. I've had my hair chopped way too short before, as well as melted off after a perm. The bottom line here is that you need to complain to the manager of the salon, assuming you went to a salon. The stylist needs to be reported because if a lot of unhappy clients that she services never say anything, the manager/owner will assume she is a good beautician. I know this to be a fact because I am a manager and stylist of a salon. Good luck with your future haircuts. : )

I have naturally straight hair, and years ago in college I wanted a wavy perm and ended up looking like I just got out from a science museum with static electricity in my hair. It was a shock initially since it wasn't what I wanted. I learned to gradually accept it and knowing that in a few weeks, things would get better. I've never gone back to that hair dresser again.

Your not alone. The way you descibe what your hair looks like is exactly what the hair dresser did to me, but I have straight hair,so I have to curl it so that it doesn't look like a mop. The witch butchered my head. My hair was long and she cut it up to my neck and haphazardly chopped up my layers and WAY to short on the left side of my head, this is not the way you layer hair, there is no pattern to my layers and they do not blend. I'm going on the fourth month of growing this out and I still get sick to my stomach every day when I have to go in the bathroom to do something with it. The witch that did this kept telling me,"It's just hair". No it isn't just hair and it's devastating having long hair and then all of the sudden you have some monstosity on your head that you never asked for. I'm trying to just deal with this and let it grow out for a few more months so that hopefully I can go some where else and at least have it evened up and blended, it won't be what I originally wanted, but I'm hoping it will at least look cute enough so that I can leave it alone and just let it grow. Maybe you can do the same with yours after it grows a few months. My hair just barely works in a claw clip now. Just wondering if you could do that some times so that you don't have to deal with your hair. Like I said ,your not alone ,when this first happened I balled my eyes out because it was so gross looking. Hair dressers like this need their license taken away. I know there is good hair dressers out there though, the trick is finding them . What I'm doing now is every time I see someone with the same type of hair like mine and cut really nice, I go up to them and ask them where do they go and who does their hair. The name that comes up the most I'm going to try them out. I'm going to be real careful because I need to find someone really good that can help me fix this mess. Just keep reminding your self that it will grow out and some day soon it will be just a bad memory. Good luck and God Bless ^j^
