It's called an inverted bob. Meaning it's longer in the front then the back. That should make it a little easier to find more pics of the same cut. I used to have that style, very easy to manage but you have to keep up the cut to keep it lookin like that.

I'm a Sikh, i know there are rules that say you shouldn't cut your hair if you are a Keshdhari or an Amritdhari, otherwise you are allowed to trim your hair. Anyway think of it as you are trying to grow your hair because if you have split ends your hair will not grow properly and will remain weak. So, the best thing is to trim a little bit, that's what I did because my hair became really weak and i had a lot of split ends!!

You can't get rid of split ends unless you cut them off. To avoid getting split ends, avoid curling irons, blow dryers, flat irons or any heat hair tool. Condition your hair well and be easy brushing your hair.

Once you have them they wont go away. The best way to avoid them is condition, do not brush when wet and let air dry. Try to use a wide tooth comb instead of a brush.

my opinion is to DONT cut your hair the night of the dance

in case the cut turns out or looks differently than the picture and you dont like it

so i suggest cutting it a few weeks before or after the formal

so if you dont like it, it wont be on your special day

For styling, use a flat iron and then a strong styling wax. Make it look like a water balloon hit you in the back of your head. Kinda wet and spikey foreword....

the coolest color technique is done in a stripe around the head like a halo. It starts one inch behind the hairline in the bang section and goes around the head. so the bangs show a lot of highlights and the rest of the highlights are underneath the top layer. Like a one inch stripe all the way around your head. Make a one inch stripe around the whole head. One inch behind the bangs and about 2-3 inches above the ears and all the way around, while keeping this halo only one inch thick. Put the bleached hair sections in foil for 35 minutes. Bleach it a real light if you want a light blue purple. The blue purple is put on after with punky color and has to be maintained every so often. This type of highlights grows out really well. Use a ponytail to keep the top section up. then bleach the one inch stripe underneath using foil.

Second, switch to Pantene conditioner and leave it on while you shower. Then once a month, dump mayonaise on your head, wrap hair in plastic wrap, then a towel. Leave on for thirty minutes. Wash, condition and wow...the softness!

Although I had to look up who Louise Brooks was, I would say that that style is always in with a little update on the style. Side swept bangs would update the look and be more kind to heart/oval faces with high cheek bones. If you go to a stylist I'm sure they could make it work for you. Look at emo kids or scene peoples cuts and that would give a stylist a better idea of how you want to make the cut more androgynous. Good Luck!

I was told that it's best to trim BEFORE perming because once you've permed it you will then be cutting a portion of the curl off. This leaves you with what looks like fishing hooks at the end of your hair rather than the curls...

Oh, fun!! Do #1, dramatic haircuts are SO much fun! You'd really look cute with either one, but I say go for the shorter, more dramatic cut. Especially if you've never had hair that short before--it's a liberating feeling! Plus some women tie so much of their femininity and self-esteem up in their hair length, it's awesome to get it the length of it chopped off and realize you're still feminine and cute as hell!

I routinely grow my hair out really long, then cut it to chin length, and everytime I cut it people are shocked, and tell me how much more mature I look (I have a baby face, but I'm 24).

Im going to be in a wedding in a couple of weeks and I wanted some advice on what would be a cheaper choice for getting my hair done professionally. Cutting it in particular, I figured I could just relax it at home since thats what I have been doing for the past 5-6yrs. What I really want to know is if I relax my hair at home, should I have my hair cut befor or after I relax ? OR should I just scroung up the money and have the hair dresser cut, perm, and press my hair all on the morning of the wedding? If so, about how much will this cost me?

As far as when to relax your hair you want to do it before the cut.

I would not normally suggest it but if you are having it colored or styled later you do not want to style it before you relax it.

Also by relaxing it first your scalp will have settled down and not be so sensitive when you have your style done.

Again I would not usually advice this but it has to do with the order of events and not committing to too many treatments in one day.

There is no way it will be affordable if you have all the treatments done at once.

I would call the salon and ask what they charge for a relax, cut and style.

They may offer a slight discount or include a cut and style with the relaxer so ask them first.

If is say $100 dollars for all three treatments and $80 for two it might be worth it to let the salon do the whole job.

You know how your hair responds to relaxing as you have had it done before.

I am not sure I would wait to the last minute in case you are not happy with the results.

Get it done now or at least do you relaxer now and the stylist can press it or blow dry it to give you the texture and style you need to look marvelous at the wedding.

Dry.....If wet it will clog the clippers, and also mat down. When doing it have a DRY wash cloth or hand towel handy. That way you can use it to wipe away the hair on the head and you can see the spots that you missed. Also to blend the hair cut as far up as you want and then use a smaller pair of clippers(for side burns), and run it up and down along the hair line. Make sure that when you do this that you don't follow the curve of the head, but keep it straight it will make less of a line and more blended.

Sorry, but there's no way to mend hair that is either broken or split up the hair shaft. Of course Pantene Pro-V or some other commercial brand will tell you differently, but don't believe the hype. The most you can do is try to take some preventative measures by deep conditioning and changing your hair styling regimen.

Another thing I can suggest is upgrading your heat styling tools. Anything ceramic is a great choice since it doesn't dry out the hair's natural oils. Just make sure it really is ceramic.

when was the last time you had a trim?? the ends of your hair might just be split. get only , just the ends trimmed . what type of flat iron do you use? and what type of protectant do you use to help with the direct heat? make sure that the iron has a heat adjuster on it. if not, do not let it stay in one spot for a long time. are you using any chemiocals in your hair?? please write back we need to talk girl.

Why do you want your hair straight so bad? I hope it's just a cosmetic reason...my cousin is like that, though. Anyway, you're probably gonna need to trim your ends and do some deep conditioning to repair the damage you've done with those straighteners. If you want your hair straight so bad, then get a mild relaxer, once it's healthy. That way when you want it curly you can just wet set it or something, since you obviously don't wear your natural hair very often anyway. You'll only need to get touchups every few months. This way your are not doing so much damage to your beautiful hair lol.

Start with a good moisturizing conditioner and only rinse it out 3/4 of the way in the shower. Comb your hair with a wide tooth comb when it is wet (don't brush it). When your hair is still very wet (almost dripping) divide it into sections and coat each section with either a curling gel or a combo or gel and curl or control cream. Scrunch all the sections and let your hair air dry for the least amount of frizz. It helps to control frizz if you keep your hands off your hair after you gel it. Touching it too much after it dries can make it frizzy and limp. I like herbal essences scrunching gel for curly hair and i use aussie moist conditioner.

well, coming from a beautician, and one that cut her hair for years, this should hopefully help you. if you hold your hair at a 45 degree angle out from your crown, and following all around, that will create more dramatic more layered effects. it will appear 'stacked' and is pretty easy to achieve. go by feel and it should turn out well. this angle will also help create fullness, which is what i assume you mean by come out more? and there's always cost effective places to get your hair done should you want to. most cities have beauty schools with great rates, or even ladies nights where you could go get a fantastic rate. i hope that helps!

I have waist length hair and get compliments on it from both male and females. I find it very easy to take care of. If it is hot or I am going someplace special I can always put it up. I think styling is more limited for short hair.For a while I went thru the perm thing with almost shoulder length hair and it took a long time every day to take care of it. Bottom line here ask your partner their preference, and then meet somewhere in the middle, or do your own thing. I am sure if they love you your hairstyle is not going to matter, but you want the sexual attraction to remain.

Mid back is way too long. It does you no good at that length, especially if it's all to that length. Worst thing possible.

Once you hair is hanging lower than your jawline, it does nothing for your face anymore. Even a few wisps of bangs, or shorter wisps at cheek level is better, although can look silly with really long hair.

If you have very long hair, and still want to keep that length, you can get it layered properly (and this is not easy to do) so that you have all the length, but have all those shorter lengths around the face. It needs to be done professionally to look right. It also looks best (and reallly sexy) if it is curled softtly (and not with a perm please!).

Your best bet is to consult with a professional. Don't get it cut; just get his/her opinion. Go to a couple of them. Take your time with this decision. But it's only hair, and it will grow back. Why not have some fun with different lengths? Life is too short to be a slave to 'ong hair' for no good reason, and not look your best.
